1974 Mud Tiger Feet
Top Of The Pops 1974 Lytham St. Annes. Snow outside. So cold when we went to the pub we couldn't get back into the car because the keyhole had frozen over. Luckily my Uncle had some sort of spray.
Thursday nights watching Top Of The Pops. Tiger Feet by Mud. So bloody catchy. Biggest selling single of 74. Every Xmas round up show had this song. And they had the current number one with Lonely This Xmas. But down at the ice skating ring this is the one we zoomed around with. Unless a girl would hold your hand. then you could slow skate to lonely. Or Stardust by David Essex.
Chinn Chapman wrote and produced some absolutely magic singles that still come across fresh today. Bubblegum maybe but nothing wrong with that.
In the video you can see the dance moves. I went to a gig at the local Church hall to see a Slade cover band not so long after I got back in 1975. They were doing the dance. Magic.
AII night long you've been lookin' at me
well you know you're the dance hall cutie that you love to be
oh well now you've been layin' it down
you got your
hips swingin' out of bounds.
And I like the way you do what you're doin' to me
alright

Well that's right

I really love your tiger light
and that's nead
that's nead
that's nead
that's nead
I really love your tiger feet
