24. Pressure Drop by Toots and The Maytals 1970

One of the midnight rock films at the Trak cinema was "The Harder They Come". A real eye opener on the Jamaican music scene and a tough gangster flick. And fantastic music. Most the ska stuff we heard was from English bands so this was a chance to go out and buy a soundtrack album full of the good original reggae. And have image of Jimmy Cliff and his razor to go with it. For a while there we were trying our best to speak Jamaican and drop quotes from the movie. The standout track for me was Pressure Drop. The Clash certainly felt the same way when they recorded it for the b-side of English Civil War.
No real lyrics to speak of but a great singalong.  it certainly fitted in well with what we heard coming out of England. And it was magic to singalong to in the car on the way to a gig. this is a stone cold classic.
